My new book in the Barry O'Shea series is due to be released sometime in August. Its title is Second District, and it's a story about a movie actor/rancher in southeastern Oregon who runs for congress. The campaign is full of action, involving a number of legal battles. Barry represents the actor. Ultimately, the actor wins with a razor thin margin, and his opponent demands a recount. Before the recount is taken the ballot boxes in three counties are compromised, and the opponent comes out marinally ahead. Barry contest the recount, and a novel trial results, holding the readers attention thoughout, and ending in a surprising and unexpected way.
