My new book in the Barry O'Shea series is due to be released sometime in August. Its title is Second District, and it's a story about a movie actor/rancher in southeastern Oregon who runs for congress. The campaign is full of action, involving a number of legal battles. Barry represents the actor. Ultimately, the actor wins with a razor thin margin, and his opponent demands a recount. Before the recount is taken the ballot boxes in three counties are compromised, and the opponent comes out marinally ahead. Barry contest the recount, and a novel trial results, holding the readers attention thoughout, and ending in a surprising and unexpected way.

I will be one of the featured authors participating in the Eleventh Annual Men of Mystery event to be held on October 30 this year in the Irvine Marriott Hotel in Irvine, CA. Hope to see all of you there.
